Twitter

I'm planning to use twitter when possible (and subject to signal/battery life) to keep you updated... I'll be using the account @broomster and the hashtag #tubechallenge if you wish to keep track :-) I'll also use the #fb hashtag to cross post to my personal facebook page as and when suitable :-)

We have a website :-)

http://tubechallenge.moonfruit.com

Let us know what you think.. We hope it explains what we're doing, and why we're doing it.. but if not feel free to contact us :-)

email me at broomster@gmail.com or tweet me @broomster :-)

The justgiving sites to donate are at is.gd/broomster and is.gd/sionjones :-)

Well, planning is coming along nicely.. Well, I think so anyway :-)

We've got an extra person tagging along, in the shape of my good friend Chris Harvey, who is also a fellow railwayman..  The theory is, that if one of us starts to flag, the other two will kick their arses :-)  Also, if things go a bit pear shaped during the day (eg points failures, broken trains etc etc) then there will be 3 heads to come up with a back up plan.....

Anyway, a "provisional" plan A is below....

this is plan a)
start at amersham then to chalfont and latimer then to chesham then to moor park then to watford then to north harrow then to walk to west harrow then to west harrow then to rayners lane then to earls court (picc) then to back to Ealing Broadway (all stops district) then to full length central line to then to Epping/hainault then to back to woodford then to hainault/epping (depending which done first) then to leytonstone or leyton then to bus to walthamstow central then to euston then to mill hill east then to finchley central then to high barnet then to bus to cockfosters (or oakwood then cockfosters) then to kings cross/st panc then to moorgate then to baker street via farringdon. then to jubilee to wembley park then to preston road then to wembley park then to stanmore then to bus to edgeware then to tottenham court road or warren street then to west ruislip then to walk to ickenham then to uxbridge then to northwick park then to walk/bus to kenton then to harrow and wealdstone then to baker street then to embankment then to tower hill then via monument/bank to london bridge then to waterloo (via southwark) then to elephant and castle then to london bridge then to west ham then to upminster then to aldgate east then to foot to aldgate then to kx st pan then to gloucester road then to westminster then to victoria then to brixton then to stockwell then to kennington then to morden then to bus/tram to wimbledon then to earls court then to kenny o then to walk high st kensington or via earls court then to edgeware road then to hammersmith then to richmond then to turnham green then to heathrow t4 then to t123 then to t5 then to finish
plan b will be made up on the day once it's all gone tits up...

Tube Challenge - Info and Thanks,.

Hi,

You've found our TUBE CHALLENGE site :-)

For those of you not in the know, the Tube Challenge is to visit all of the Tube Stations on the London Underground network in a day.. The world record is just over 16 hours...

So, who are we?

We're Mike and Sion, both Railway Workers from Aberystwyth in Mid Wales. We're raising money for our favourite charities and would appreciate you sponsoring us - even a little goes a long way!

We're going to attempt the challenge on the 5th November, and the current plan is to start at Amersham in Bucks, and finish at Heathrow T5, after visiting all the other stations on the network :-)

If you wish to donate, please visit our Justgiving sites :-

Mike

Sion

fro the Wales Air Ambulance.

We would like to thank Virgin Trains for their assistance, and also Mike's good friend Wray Norton for her assistance in publicity, promotional material, t-shirts and general support :-)
Would also like to thank The South Wales Evening Post, and also The Cambrian News for the publicity they have given us.

More info will be posted shortly on possible routes, our plans, our motives and anything else relevant :-)
